Mission

Our mission is to bring together and unite people of Polish ancestry and friends of Poland who live in the West Texas- Southern New Mexico- Juarez, Mexico area. We aim to strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and brotherhood by addressing all aspects of needed support for understanding and cultivating Polish traditions, culture, and language. We will encourage and provide scholarships and other supportive endowments for local students of Polish descents, if possible. We will continue the strong foundation laid by the original Casimir Pulaski Society started in El Paso in 1960, in promoting various philanthropic and educational programs of Polish history, and contributions of Poles and Americans of Polish heritage to the multidisciplinary development of our society and the United States of America.

The El Paso Chopin Piano Festival (25th Season)

The El Paso Chopin Piano Festival returns to celebrate the work of beloved Polish composer and pianist Fryderyk Chopin! 25th Season of waltzes, mazurkas, nocturnes, etudes, sonatas, and polonaises with concerts scheduled for the following Saturdays: ‪September 28th - with guest pianist Josh Wright; ‬ ‪October 12th - with guest pianist Mei Ting Sun;‬ ‪October 26th - with founder and artistic director of the festival Dr. Lucy Scarbrough.‬ All concerts are at 7:00PM at the Chamizal National Memorial Theater. Free admission.

"Kanał" - Polish masterpiece from 1956, directed by Andrzej Wajda will be a part of the Plaza Classics Film Festival 2019.

"Kanał"- first movie about the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, telling the story of resistance fighters escaping the Nazi onslaught through the city's sewers will be shown on the 75th anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. Easter is on its way. Get in the spirit by learning the art of Pisanki, or Polish egg decorating. Join us for a fun-filled Pisanki Workshop on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00AM. Kids and adults, beginners and enthusiasts alike are welcome!

International Women’s Day 2019

The 3rd annual International Women’s Day dinner in El Paso, bringing awareness to the global campaign theme “Balance For Better” calling for more gender- balanced world, took place on March 8 at the Coronado Country Club. We celebrated and supported our leaders, innovators, and risk-takers for thinking forward and expanding the possibilities for other women. First lady of El Paso, Adair Margo, arts advocate, who is passionate about our rich and diverse cultural heritage, gave a keynote speech at this year’s event. The Inspirational Woman of the Year award was presented for one exceptional woman, making impact on life of others. Dr. Diana Natalicio was recognized for her visionary leadership and extraordinary service as UTEP President, which profoundly transformed the community. The General Casimir Pulaski Polish American Society of El Paso always wants to make an impact on improving the wellness of our community by donating funds to a local nonprofits. This year we supported El Paso Pro- Musica, organization focused on enriching our community through music, by donating all proceeds from silent auction.

El Paso Chopin Music Festival (24th Season)

The Festival's founder and artistic director, Dr. Lucy Scarbrough established the Festival due to showcase the Chopin's influence on music. "Frederic Chopin was one of the great world ambassadors." Dr. Scarbrough has said. "His music is truly a universal language of beauty that knows no barriers of nation or culture."
